April 2, 2020 — Bluemont, VA — Bear Chase Brewing Company is teaming up with Sysco, Pale Fire Brewing and Digital Minerva for “Bear Chase Helps”, a food bank resource to support restaurant workers during the COVID-19 crisis.

Bear Chase is honored to have an opportunity to team with Sysco Foods to help members of our community who have been economically impacted during these unprecedented times. As businesses that both thrive (directly, or indirectly) based on the support of the community; it’s important that we look for safe and valuable ways to give back to those members of our community who have been adversely impacted economically through no fault of their own.

The food bank will be open at Bear Chase Brewing Company’s open-air tasting deck at 33665 Bear Chase Lane Bluemont VA, April 2nd, 2020 from 12pm to 6pm. A variety of non-perishable items donated by Sysco and community members will be available. Participants are asked to show their most recent pay stub to confirm eligibility. Responsible sanitation and social distancing measures will be followed at all times.

When Sysco reached out to us to see if we would be interested in partnering with them on this initiative in Northern Virginia, we jumped at the chance to help out those that have been affected by Covid-19. “In the last couple weeks so many individuals in the hospitality industry have found themselves without work unexpectedly. Bear Chase Helps is an opportunity to help out our community in this time of need”, said Chris Suarez, General Manager of Bear Chase Brewing Company
